Thailand

One month from today I am going to Thailand for the second time. I first went 2 years ago after a 3 month working holiday at Camp America. I went by myself the first time and joined a tour that travelled for 2 weeks in the north and 2 weeks in the south. This time I am meeting up with an English girl who I became good friends with at Camp and travelling for 3 weeks....Anyway the point is thatI can choose where I want to go and where I want to stay this time, and I have been researching the millions of hotels, that are in each place I want to go, and came across this hotel in Bangkok.

Each room is individually designed by a Thai designer and they aren't too expensive either. I don't know if we will be staying there, but I think it's cool anyway. My favourite is room is 301. I always thought it would be cool to have a free standing bath in your bedroom.

I've never been to Thailand but have friends who have raves about the hospitality and the food available. Actually the hotel you described sounds like a hotel I've stayed visited while in Berlin called Propeller Island. Instead a different designer/artist for each room, there is only one but with a different theme such the upside down room with all the furniture being bolted to the ceiling and the beds being the the floorboards. It's very crazy.

Have fun on your trip!

Hey there,

Just an FYI that you've been tagged with a meme. http://myburningkitchen.blogspot.com/2007/06/this-blog-has-been-tagged.html

Hope you play along.

Hi Joanh - I have been to a few places in Sydney, but there are so many more I want to try. Thailand is great, you definitely have to visit.

Hi Darlene - The people are so friendly in Thailand and the food is awesome. I love how when you go out to eat you get all the different accompaniments on the table.

That hotel looks cool. I don't know about the mirror room though, that would be a bit freaky.... I will check out the meme, thanks!
