Crust Pizza

A new crust store has recently opened up in Gungahlin and I was excited to try it out. I have never had crust pizza before and everyone raves about it.

We are not short for options for pizza in gungahlin by any means. We have the usual suspects of Pizza Hut and Dominos, there is an Eagle boys, Little San Severo (a family run pizza joint) a Pizza Capers and now a Crust Pizza. The people of gungahlin must really love their pizza!

I have tried all of the places now and I must say that my favourite place is Little San Severo. Their seafood pizza is the best pizza ever (will be sure to take photos next time I get pizza from there). I would love to know where they get their scallops from cause they are the fattest juiciest ones I have seen.

So what did I think of crust? Well I was not impressed at all. I found their toppings to be rather bland and their pizza base was terrible. I don't know if all crusts are like the one in Gungahlin, but I will definitely not order anything from there again. The only good thing was that I could order online and delivery was free and the pizzas were still piping hot when they arrived.

So these are the pizzas that I got below.

Seafood Pizza - M - $18

Mediterranean Lamb - M $17

Maybe I just had a bad experience cause everyone else out there seems to love crust, but I just didn't like it at all.

The Mediterranean lamb didn't look too bad, what is that white sauce over it? I think I still prefer thin crust pizzas anytime.

I haven't tried Crust yet, and even the okay reviews aren't enough to encourage me to give them a go. They still just look like normal boring pizza to me :P Where's my peanut butter banana dulce de leche pistachio pizza?

I really like Crust's GF crusts :) Although we only have it as a treat every now and then as they are quite pricey!

The white sauce was a yoghurt mint sauce. I agree they looked good, but there was just no explosion of flavour which I am used to on pizzas. I think making at home is the way to go!

I like the sound of that pizza hannah! Although some nutella on that would be good too!

I've never heard of crust pizza! Laura makes a good homemade pizza.

The Crust in the City is pretty good., such a shame when you get rubbish isn't it. Sounds like you've got a great alternative though Susan.
Happy Easter, hope your enjoying a lovely break.

What a shame about your experience there. I still haven't tried it. I just love making my own pizza and find that if I am going for a takeaway meal I'll get something Asian as they are the closest places to us.

That's a shame. I've only had it once, which was a bit of a debacle....

Just had my first Crust pizza last night. I wasn't impressed either.

I live in Gungahlin as well... the Crust is so bad! I have had it before in Sydney, but there it was fantastic. There are so many new pizza shops opening. It's a shame San Severo closed but Pizza Capers is quite yummy:)

Agreed, I wasn't impressed with Crust either. I went over the road to Eagle Boys and tried their thai chicken - and it was devine. For $7.95 I wasn't really expecting much, but the flavours just popped. Guess what? they make their own pizzs bases, I thought they were all frozen and stuff but I actually seen them, impressive...
